Phase I – project launch

By tableatny (BXP135620) [CC-BY-2.0 (www.creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0)], via Wikimedia CommonsI’m not sure if it has been a sprint or a marathon, but finally we’re ready to launch I’m a Scientist, Decipher my Data! Flu!  We started work on the project over a year ago and progress accelerated rapidly in July when we heard that we were successful in obtaining funding from the Wellcome Trust.

Over the summer we’ve been refining our plans, gaining ethics approval and building this first stage of the website to host the project.

Phase I will last a couple of weeks while we prepare Phase II the data collection and analysis part of the site. You can use the time to register and get consent from your Headteacher to run the project.

We would also like to use this time to refine what we’ve produced so far. Please do have a look through the lesson plans and resources and let us have any comments – good and bad.  It is only by hearing your views that we can improve them for you.  Either leave a comment on the page or email declan@gallomanor.com directly.
