Why should I take part? Why is DMD exciting?

Your students will be contributing work towards a real scientific experiment. Nobody knows what the outcome will be or even if the experiment will work. No longer will your students have to learn separately about “How Science Works” (or often how it doesn’t!) when other people do it who they often perceive to be “cleverer” than themselves. They get to be the scientists. They get to do the research. They get to work alongside leading researchers in their field and find out what they do.

We hope that outcomes from Decipher My Data experiments that students participate in could eventually improve their lives in some small way.

When a student writes a story in English they can call themselves an author. When a student paints in Art, they can call themselves an artist. Now in science, your students can call themselves scientists.
