We’ll be back next term!

RCGP GP ILI consultation activity England and Wales 1988 to 2012

On 1st September we’ll be launching Decipher My Data – Flu! for the 2012/13 flu season.

Thank you to all the schools who entered data for the 2011/12 season. It was a strange winter, we saw less flu in England and Wales than we have done for the last 25 years. This meant that we didn’t have enough data to see if school absence rates could provide an early warning of flu in the wider community. The experiment didn’t work. That’s science for you.

But that isn’t stopping us from trying again. It’s too important.

Next term Decipher My Data – Flu! is back. It will be simpler, better and earlier. We’re launching on September 1st, ready for data collection to start on October 1st.

We’ll email you then about how to get your students involved. In the meantime, if you’ve got any questions please get in contact with Katie by email or phone 01225 326 892.

Enjoy the summer!
